Carlsbad, CA (January 8, 2009) – Adicio, the leading developer of web-based classified advertising solutions, today announced the launch of a new job-search portal, CareerCast.com, containing extensive job listings from Adicio client websites across the U.S. and Canada. Unlike most national career portals, CareerCast.com enables job seekers to drill down to access job opportunities from the leading career sites in their local area or region, while also providing employers and recruiters with a quick and easy way to post listings to more than 500 newspaper, broadcast, trade publishing and niche sites in a single transaction.
On CareerCast.com, job seekers can create accounts and use their resumes to apply for jobs on any participating website. Then t he portal automatically logs them onto the corresponding client website and uploads their resume, expediting the posting process and maximizing job seekers’ reach. Job seekers can also access exclusive job-rating information that uses detailed analysis to measure careers by factors such as working conditions, competitiveness and hiring outlook. The site also offers job-hunting, career-management and HR-focused content, as well as comprehensive research data, a daily video and career blog, where job seekers can get expert advice and information on current issues.
CareerCast.com enables employers, staffing firms and recruitment advertising agencies to easily post single or multiple job listings simultaneously to any participating website using Adicio’s e-commerce functionality. CareerCast.com’s job database also contains job listings from Adicio’s National and Regional Networks, which feature listings from local and national newspapers, magazines, trade associations and broadcast media outlets across the U.S. and Canada, and currently attracts more than 20 million job queries each month.
“CareerCast.com expedites the job search by providing unique content, tools and job listings all in one central location,” says Tony Lee, Chief Alliance Officer of Adicio and publisher of CareerCast.com. “By directing job seekers to our clients’ websites to read articles, view jobs and apply for positions, our client’s sites will benefit from increased traffic. And by creating a centralized location for employers to post their positions to more than 500 niche sites, including the market-leading sites in more than a dozen industries such as health care, retailing, engineering and energy, CareerCast.com provides a service to recruiters while helping our clients generate new online revenues.”
CareerCast.com also will serve as a beta site for new Adicio tools, products and features that Adicio clients can preview and use before implementing on their own sites, says Lee.
