Patterns on the necktie can go a long way to make the tie more attractive. If you find a tie whose colors in the patterns match those of your shirt and suit, then you should be considering that also. A good idea would be to have a tie whose pattern combines the color of your shirt and that of the suit. To make it better, you can choose a tie whose dominant color is similar to that of the suit and the less dominant color to match that of the shirt.

It is always easy to choose a tie when you intend to wear it with a white shirt. This is because any necktie color will go well with a white shirt. It is also easy if the shirt is plain colored.
